We are a unit of District 15, United
States Power Squadrons®, a nation wide nonprofit
organization of boating enthusiasts, both sail and power,
dedicated to safe boating through education.
We were chartered in 1959 and since then have been sponsoring
many educational, social, and civic projects.
Our squadron meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at
18:30 (either a business meeting or a dinner squabble).
We have a monthly rendezvous on the water or at a members
home. The St. Andrew Bay Power Squadron offers educational
courses to promote safe boating and awareness of
boaters responsibilities. |
|
Our Squadron is centered around Panama City
Beach, Florida
on the beautiful St. Andrew Bay.

__Meeting with other boaters in your area: As a member
of a local squadron (and there are approximately 450 squadrons
throughout the USA, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico,
and the US Virgin Islands) you will join with other knowledgeable
boaters in your area who are familiar with the local waters,
the best anchorage's, and marinas and boat repair shops.
__Participation in a variety of on water activities:
As a USPS member you're automatically invited to join in
the squadron and district cruises, rendezvous, predicted
log contests, raftings and other on-water activities.
__Savings on Boat Insurance: There are many marine
insurance companies which provide discounts to those who
complete advanced boating courses. This savings can be significant.
__USPS Networking with other members throughout the USA,
Canada and even more distant areas: Thinking of boating
in a river, lake or ocean far from your home? USPS has a
